CBC Monkstown Park - 60th Anniversary Dinner Kiilliney Castle Hotel - 18th November 2011
On Friday the 18th of November in Killiney Castle the school's 60th anniversary dinner took place. It was in run in conjunction with the PPU, Alumni, and Parents Council. We had over 280 people attend the event where we were entertained with speeches by playwright Mr. Bernard Farrell and current principal Dr. Gerry Berry. Also in attendance on the night were past headmasters Mr. Seamus Brennan and Mr. Pat Keating. There was also a special presentation to Terry Dunne who left the school 60 years ago. After dinner the band, Loose Covers, playing excellent music until late into the night. The money raised in the raffle was donated to the St Vincent de Paul in Monkstown & Sallynoggin, and also the school's rugby teams.
We would thank the staff of Killiney Castle for their hospitality and help through the evening. We would also like to give special mention to a few people who were involved in making this event such a success, David O'Hanrahan, Pat Fox, Donal Courtney, Conor McKenna and James Shakespeare. We hope all who attended the dinner enjoyed themselves and hope to see everybody at the next event which is our annual Tag Rugby Competition which is being held on the 1st of January down in the school.

Annual Golf Outing

Our 17th Annual Golf Outing took place in Glen of the Downs Golf Club. This Year we had a mixture of weather between sunsine and rain and those who played well done all. We had nearly 70 for golf and 77 for dinner, it was the first year we introduced a shotgun start for the golf which went down very well with everybody...

Our annual membership fee is €25, paid annually on 1st January. Of this amount we donate €10 to a charitable organisation.
Currently we are looking for people to join the executive committee, which meets once a month, to continue the excellent work done by the executive to date. If you feel you could help please contact the Honorary Secretary, Pat Fox, at the school on 01 280 5854.
