We in the CBC PPU respect your right to privacy and fully comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1988 and 2003. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to outline how we collect and deal with any personal data you provide to us while visiting this website, and how we use "cookies" technology. We retain two types of information:

(a) To provide you with information about the events, activities and other matters connected with CBC PPU, or its authorised affiliates;

(c) To allow the Executive Committee (with the assistance of fellow past pupils) to organise reunion events; or
(d) To allow CBC Monkstown Park (the "School") to organise events involving past pupils,
provided that, at all times, such information shall be processed only under the supervision of a member of the Executive Committee and solely for the purposes noted above.
2.2 Non-Personal Data
We use the Non-Personal Data gathered from visitors to our website in an aggregate form to get a better understanding of where our visitors come from and to help us better design and organise our website.

4.1 Your Personal Data is held on secure servers hosted by our Internet Service Provider. All electronic transactions you make to or receive from us will be encrypted using encryption technology. We take our responsibilities in relation to the security of your Personal Data very seriously. The nature of the internet is such that we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us via the internet.
4.2 No data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. However, we will take all reasonable steps (including appropriate technical and organisational measures) to protect your Personal Data and we will review these measures regularly.
5. Updating, Verifying and Deleting Personal Data:
5.1 You may inform us of any changes in your Personal Data and, in accordance with our obligations under the Data Protection Acts 1988 and 2003, we will update or delete your Personal Data accordingly.
5.2 To find out what Personal Data we hold on you, please e-mail us. Any such requests may be subject to a prescribed fee which is currently fixed at €50 and we will reply to you within 40 days.
5.3 To have your Personal Data rectified (if it is inaccurate) or erased (if we do not have a legitimate reason to hold your Personal Data) please e-mail us. We will comply with a request to rectify your Personal Data (if it is inaccurate) or erase your Personal Data (if we do not have a legitimate reason to hold it) within 40 days of receiving such a request from you.
5.4 You can ask us at any time to stop or change the methods by which we send you communications by e-mailing us.
6. Changes to the Website Privacy Policy:
6.1 Any changes to this Privacy Policy will be posted on this website so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstance, if any, we disclose it.
